Abstract

The importance of multicultural Islamic education in Indonesia is a necessity considering that Indonesia is a multi-ethnic, ethnic, racial, cultural and religious country. The purpose of this discussion is to reveal how the Koran views Multicultural Islamic Education in a broader context. This study uses a qualitative approach with the type of library research, with data collection techniques through library data in the form of text contained in books, articles, papers and other written sources. The results of this study indicate that Allah SWT deliberately made human beings with various ethnicities, races, languages, cultures, religions and other uniqueness with the aim of fostering tolerance for one another. Multicultural Islamic education in a broader practice must be directed towards acceptance of these differences so that it will produce students who are open to all forms of difference as a natural law and sunnatulah.
