Abstract

The Al-Pr phase diagram [Massalski2] shows the following intermediate compounds: aPr3Al (D019, Ni3Sn-type hexagonal), bPr3Al (L12, AuCu3-type cubic), Pr2Al (C23, Co2Si-type orthorhombic), aPrAl (ErAl-type orthorhombic), bPrAl (CeAl-type orthorhombic), PrAl2 (C15, MgCu2-type cubic), PrAl3 (Ni3Sn-type hexagonal), PrAl4 or bPr3Al11 (D13, Al4Ba-type tetragonal), and aPr3Al11 (aLa3Al11-type orthorhombic). The Al-Sb phase diagram depicts the equiatomic compound AlSb, which melts congruently at 1058 C [Massalski2]. The Pr-Sb phase diagram [Massalski2] depicts the following compounds: Pr2Sb (La2Sb-type tetragonal), Pr5Sb3 (Mn5Si3-type hexagonal), Pr4Sb3 (Th3P4-type cubic), bPrSb (stable above 1950 C), aPrSb (NaCl-type cubic), and PrSb2 (SmSb2-type orthorhombic).
