Chest. 1997; 111: 1468 Abstract Full Text Full Text PDF PubMed Scopus (5) Google Scholar They reported in detail an unusual and dangerous complication of respiratory obstruction due to the use of a new type of tracheostomy tube. It has a bevel tip similar to that of an ordinary endotracheal tube except that it does not have the so-called Murphy side opening at the tip.
