Abstract

Airline's network is the key element of its business strategy and selected network structure will not have influence only on the airline's costs but could gain some advantage in revenues, too. Network designing implies that an airline has to make decisions about markets that it will serve and how to serve those markets. Network choice raises the following questions for an airline: a) what markets to serve, b) how to serve selected markets, c) what level of service to offer, d) what are the benefits/cost of the that decisions and e) what is the influence of the competition. We analyzed the existing airline business models and corresponding network structure. The paper highlights the relationship between the network structures and the airline business strategies. Using a simple model we examine the relationship between the network structure and service quality in deregulated market.

Sloboda koju su avioprevoznici dobili nakon deregulacije tržišta vazdušnog saobraćaja podrazumevala je velike promene u poslovnom modelu i primenu one strategije koja će na najbolji mogući način zadovoljiti putničku potražnju. U svom radu potvrdili su da je kod HS mreže veća frekvencija u odnosu na PP mrežu linija, a da uprkos nižim troškovima koje HS mreža linija omogućava prevoznicima, oni opravdavaju naplatu većih cena karata na rutama većim frekvencijama. Autori koji su svoj doprinos kao polaznu osnovu, Pai je u svom radu proširio dali istraživanjima mreža linija avioprevoznika imali istraživanje na analizu mreže linija na osnovu su različite pristupe kada je u pitanju razumevanje ove demografije tržišta, karakteristika aerodroma, karakteproblematike i mogu se podeliti na ekonomiste, ope- ristika prevoznika i karakteristika rute [13]. Model koji je razvio Takebayashi pokazuje kako avioprevoznici menjaju strukturu mreže linija, kontrolišući cene na rutama i frekvenciju, i uzimajući u obzir ponašanje putnika, pod pretpostavkom da konkurentni prevoznici imaju različite operativne troškove [16]. Autor je u [18] problem proširio na HS mrežu linija, uzimajući u obzir cenu prevoza, frekvenciju i lojalnost putnika
