Abstract

Fifteen cabin air ozone measurements made in Concorde are ranked in order and plotted as lognormal and extreme value cumulative probability distributions. It is shown that the log-normal distribution gives adequate accuracy for regulatory purposes and one-sided tolerance limits may be used for statistical methods of compliance with any regulatory limit. Similarly it is shown that compliance by ozone destruction ratio may be difficult due to the extreme stratification of ozone in the lower stratosphere.
