Abstract
Observations of air shower signals from low mass neutral primaries of ultra high energies (> 100 TeV) from astrophysical binaries, Cygnus X-3 and Hercules X-1, are discussed. The muon content of these showers is much greater than expected for gamma ray primaries of these energies. Possible implications for particle interactions are discussed.
