Abstract

ABSTRACT This paper explains how to quantify the emission of air pollutants from a typical onshore oil and gas production facility in Santa Barbara County, and discusses common problems in the permitting process. The paper describes the sources of emissions, the calculation methods, and the data required to properly do the calculations. It outlines the trigger levels for Best Available Control Technology (BACT), Air Quality Impact Analysis (AQIA), and offsets.
