Abstract

Tires are one of the main components of a vehicle. Uncontrolled tire conditions make tires flat, which is one of the factors which can cause accidents. Air pressure which does not match the cars standards can cause fatal effects and consequences when driving. Through the designing of this detection system, the air pressure on tires can be monitor. The design of the detection system was carried out using the Prototyping method. The main components used are the MPX5700AP sensor, the Wemos D1 mini microcontroller, the Blynk IoT platform functions as a notification system and Thing Speak functions as a monitoring system. Based on the results of the experiments shown that, when the air pressure value is not on the specified standard, then the Blynk app gives a notification to the user through the Android smartphone. Beside Blynk, ThingSpeak as an IoT platforms complement is used for monitoring purposes which successfully recorded data and displays the air pressure in graphical form.
