Abstract

The paper emphasizes the distinction between ‘aims’ and ‘operational objectives’ of project work and classifies both into behaviour-oriented and task-oriented sets. A particular project, in which a computer assisted instruction programme was compiled and evaluated, illustrates certain criteria which interrelate the project objectives, the learner variables, and the protection of students' interests.
