Aile Hekimliği Polikliniğinde Saptanan Bir Epikardiyal Yağ Dokusu Olgusu

Abstract

Epicardial adipose tissue, which is located around the heart and coronary arteries, has a lot of effect (paracrine, vasocrine, inflammatory) has been described as visceral adipose tissue. The relation between epicardial fat tissue thickness and blood pressure elevation is not clear yet. However, it has been shown in various studies that it was associated with coronary artery disease, metabolic syndrome, insulin resistance and hypertension. In this case, we have presented a women who has admitted to family medicine department in order to inspection and checking of diyabetes mellitus, hypertension, hyperlipidemia and to be examined for effort dyspnea.
