Abstract
An innovative biomedical inverse scattering (IS) technique is proposed for microwave brain imaging. It leverages on a customized System-by-Design (SbD) methodology enabling an effective and computationally-efficient solution of the differential scattering problem thanks to (i) a "smart" definition of the problem unknowns and (ii) the artificial-intelligence (AI)-driven integration of a global optimizer with a fast digital twin (DT) of the data mismatch cost function.
