Abstract

Objective To explore the effect of AIDET communication mode on the intravenous infusion compliance of patients with mild cognitive impairment.Methods The data of 64 MCI patients were retrospectively analyzed.31 patients intravenously infused in the central injection room in March 2014 were set as control group,while the other 33 patients intravenously infused in April 2014 as an observation group.Both groups were normal nursed; in addition,the observation group were intervened by AIDET communication standard terminology.The intravenous infusion compliance,the command of precautions in intravenous infusion,and the satisfaction with nursing were compared between the two groups.Results After the intervention,24 patients complied well in intravenous infusion,20 had the command of precautions in intravenous infusion,and all were satisfied with the nursing care in the observation group; which were statistically better than those in the control group (P < 0.01).Conclusions Applying AIDET communication mode in patients with mild cognitive impairment can improve the patients' compliance of intravenous infusion and make them have command of precautions in intravenous infusion and be satisfied with the nursing care.
