Abstract
A small grant from the Asia Foundation now allows the American Geophysical Union to expand its grant program to include awards up to a maximum of $200 to assist in graduate research or thesis work of Asian students and scholars who have definite commitments to return to their home countries upon completion of their studies in the United States. The fund will also allow travel support of up to $100 to similar students to attend national or regional meetings of the AGU.
