Abstract

This article is devoted to the impact of wide-seeding methods of sowing with minimum norm of alfalfa varieties «Nadiya» seeding on the formation of high-quality vegetation. Level of pollination and seed performance are determined in the conditions of the steppe zone of Ukraine. Experimental studies show that in order to create qualitative and sparse grass during the formation of seed sowing alfalfa crop is necessary to lay sowing with wide rows 140 cm with a minimum rate of 0.25 million units/ha of certified seeds. It is also set that the wide-row sowing 140 cm and 210 cm influences positively on the level of pollination, formation of flowers per inflorescence and a lot of alfalfa seed. It has been determined that one of the main pollinators of alfalfa were the most active bees Rhophitoides canus, Melitta leporina, Melliturga clavicornis, which in conventional technology worked not actively. The best conditions for wild bees are in wide-row sowing with row spacing of 140 cm. This method of sowing is a new and effective element of the technology of growing alfalfa for seeds in the southern Steppe of Ukraine.
