AbstractThis chapter discusses directions and trends in the development of the digital economy and Agriculture 4.0. Digital technologies are considered to be essential factors in the development of innovative agriculture. The reason for it is the high level of investment. One pays particular attention to analyzing digital agroecosystems since they are insufficiently studied. The paper analyzes the issues and prospects of digital ecosystems in agricultural production. The purpose of using digital technologies is to achieve a significant increase in efficiency and productivity. Nonetheless, the pace of digitalization in agriculture lags behind other industries. Digital agroecosystems are changing the management of both technological and decision-making processes. They are based on modern production methods and the use of information regarding the state of controlled elements and subsystems.
