Abstract
software development is the emerging trend in today's industry. The software development industry is investigating the use of agile development methodologies in distributed environment due to its benefits of better communication and coordination, improved productivity and quality. However research has shown that implementing agile practices in global software development is beneficial and challenging too. Therefore it is necessary to carefully understand the benefits and challenges of combining agile methods in distributed projects.
