Abstract
Unicystic ameloblastoma (UA) is one of the variants of ameloblastoma characterized by unilocular radiolucency in the mandible or maxilla. UA is considered to be a separate clinicopathological entity than solid ameloblastoma, being less aggressive and responds more favorably to the conservative treatment. We describe a case of aggressive UA in mandibular right posterior region which was treated surgically, and diagnosis of UA was confirmed histopathologically.
