Abstract

Odontogenic myxomas are known for their locally aggressive behavior. Woman, 22, had localized swelling of the left mandible. Panoramic imaging revealed a multiloculated lesion extending from tooth #32 through the retromolar area that involved the basilar bone. An incisional biopsy was performed in the retromolar region, and the histopathological examination diagnosed the lesion as consistent with odontogenic fibromyxoma. Surgical treatment consisted of a block resection and placement of a titanium plate.
