Abstract

In the last decade there has been an increase in aggressive trends in the youth environment. In these conditions, the analysis of the aggressive behavior of student youth is especially relevant and important. The article examines the methods and methodology for investigating the aggressiveness of university students. The authors make comparative analysis on severity of different forms of aggression among students in different areas of training: lawyers, economists, psychologists. The paper shows that the index of aggressiveness and the index of hostility among young men lawyers is higher than that of students of other specialties, especially indicators of physical aggression. The authors conducted gender analysis of students’ aggressiveness and observed that female students of all majors have significantly lower levels of aggression than boys. The aggressiveness of girls is within the limits of the permissible norm. Male law students demonstrated a slightly higher level of physical and verbal aggression against the background of irritability and resentment. Indirect aggression did not have high values due to the fact that it is not relevant for these students, since it does not have an open, object-oriented character.
