Abstract

Background: Age-related EBV-associated B-cell lymphoproliferative disorders (LPDs) have shown a marked propensity to involve extranodal sites. This disease was newly listed in the 2008 WHO classification as EBV-positive diffuse large B-cell lymphoma of the elderly, which is defined as a histologically malignant polymorphic or monomorphic B-cell lymphoproliferation in patients older than 50 years of age without any known immunodeficiency or prior lymphoma. We report a case of a female patient with minor salivary gland enlargement, who was diagnosed with age-related EBV-associated B-cell LPDs.
