Abstract

1. 1. A comparative study was made of the development pattern in the levels of the two adaptive enzymes, rat liver serine dehydratase and tyrosine aminotransferase, from birth to advanced age. 2. 2. Three distinct phases, namely, an after-birth accumulation period, a plateau level period and a period of renewed increase in the level, were common features for both the enzymes. However, the time courses followed by the two enzymes in the course of development were different.
