Abstract

Summary The hypothesis was investigated that response times increase and errors decrease with age on Kagan's Matching Familiar Figures (MFF) test. Twenty-three boys and girls at each age level 5, 7, 9, 11, and 13 years were administered the MFF. One way analyses of variance suggested that with age, response times do not increase, while errors do decrease but only between the ages of 5 and 7 years.
