Abstract

SUMMARY A line of identity was observed in Ouchterlony plates between a swine-fever system and a mucosal disease system. The cross-reaction was found to be a true antigen-antibody reaction and was not the property of any particular serum. This finding suggests a serological relationship between the viruses of swine fever and of a bovine mucosal disease.
