Abstract
In Michel Maffesoli’s afterword, he meditates on some of the ideas and inspirations behind his sociological work. He reintroduces main themes such as the ‘neo-tribe’, ‘sociality’, the lifeworld perspective, the ‘ethics of aesthetics’, the postmodern relation to the body and the porosity of the postmodern ‘I’, but he also sketches, in a more empirical vain, the current collective re-enchantment and the return of collective forms of practice and experience.
