Abstract
Other than THE FOUNTAIN, a 20-minute real-world fitness game I designed for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation grant-winner conference in Portland that should have been that. Two Skeleton Chases in less than eight months was plenty, wasn't it? No. By the first week of May we were embarked on Skeleton Chase 3: Warp Speed. Why warp speed other than my past relationship to Star Trek: The Next Generation? That June we ran an ARG for Coca-Cola executives from North Africa. The challenge I faced was to squeeze as much of the seven weeks of gameplay into two-and-a-half days as humanly possible. We divided the executives into three teams, each with an actor in character as guide and hint system. The weekend chosen for the event I was speaking at a conference in Australia. I left the game in good hands and Coca-Cola was pleased with the results. (I was told that a team hired a taxi for one of the sprints!)
