Abstract
After Suicide John Hart (bio) It’s funny. I remember glances— a beach, his smile, but mostly the white wash of sun, indefinable. But, what was still there? Faded black tattoo, the comfortable, blue eyes. In the dark, one hair was left lying on the kitchen table by his phone. He once kept me up all night with complaints that leaves don’t fall off the trees in the South. He would have been prepared to live in a world of fall. Asleep, life plays itself like a movie scene I missed—my son in his bathroom before the mirror, a director calling the shot, my son’s face disappearing. Outside, the grey sky makes its entrance behind empty branches. [End Page 42] John Hart John Hart was born and raised in Kansas City, Kansas. He currently resides in Winter Park, Florida.
