Abstract

The main steam temperature system is a typical controlled process with parameter-varying and external disturbance. Due to these characteristics, good control quality canpsilat be gained when using the normal PID controller. In this paper, an adaptive fuzzy sliding mode control scheme is proposed. The control scheme is based on sliding mode controller with integral compensation. The uncertainties are approximated based on fuzzy theory. An adaptive law is adopted to speed up tracking error to convergence zero asymptotically. The stability of the proposed controller is shown using Lyapunov method. The proposed method is applied to main steam temperature system. Comparing with conventional PID cascade control, simulation results indicate that the proposed controller is robust and improves tracking accuracy considerably.
