Africa in the Foreign Policy Course of PRC

Abstract

This article is devoted to the African vector of the foreign policy of the People’s Republic of China, namely the cooperation of the PRC with the African states along the “South-South” line. Particular attention will be paid to developing a dialogue with the oil-producing states of Africa in view of the growing dialogue between the People’s Republic of China and the countries rich in black gold. The author will also identify the main areas of Chinese investment in the African continent, and emphasize their importance for China and Africa. The author will also highlight the main goals, tasks and foreign policy principles of the People’s Republic of China. The author examines the main directions of interstate cooperation, identifies their specifics, and also answers the question whether an integral and unified Chinese foreign policy strategy has emerged in relation to the countries of the African continent that can really reflect modern interstate relations.
