This paper introduces a method of generating grid data of seabed regular digital elevation model (DEM) of electronic chart based on RBF neural network, which is aesthetic orientation of chart and assimilation of its print attributes. Thus, it lays a foundation for the realization of three-dimensional visualization of the electronic chart, in which the neural network algorithm is used to deal with the whole chart strictly. Experimental and practical results show that the method meets the application requirements.
