Abstract

At present, the atmospheric pollution by the aerosols of terrestrial and cosmic origin changing solar radiation influx represents an actual problem. Since already forty years, at Abastumani Astrophysical Observatory in Georgia (USSR) the upper layers of atmosphere are studied by the twilight sounding. This method has given the possibility to determine the aerosol distribution in the middle atmosphere, for altitudes from 20 to 120 km. In order to obtain the parameters characterizing the atmospheric aerosol, the twilight sky brightness was measured by photometers of various designs, and a wide spectral range was included, from 400 to 740 nm.KeywordsMiddle AtmosphereWide Spectral RangeShower MeteorStratospheric AerosolComet DustThese keywords were added by machine and not by the authors. This process is experimental and the keywords may be updated as the learning algorithm improves.
