Abstract
This paper examines the important features of air travel and its relative importance in safety. It is focused into human factors, runway incursions, weather, mid-air collision and mechanical, maintenance. The purpose is to provide aviation professionals, the clear and realistic lessons that have evolved from accidents. To illustrate this case studies are conducted in the backdrop of actual situation in aviation. This study intends to analyze the major causes of accidents and its nature with importance. It is further illustrated with incidents involving airline and general aviation flights to give a clear understanding of what happened and remedies for it.
