Abstract

AbstractThis chapter introduces the flow characteristics of thin subsonic airfoils and wings, including the flow around the subsonic compressible airfoil, the derivation of the ideal steady compressible velocity potential function equation, the theory of small disturbance linearization, the theoretical solution of the two-dimensional subsonic streamline around the corrugated wall, the compressibility correction method, and its application (the Prandtl-Glauert compressibility correction).
