Aeration of the intergate space of high-head spillways

Abstract

1. In the first approximation the problem of the need to deliver air into the intergate space of high-head spillways can be solved by using present experimental results. 2. The presence of a cavitation regime in the intergate space should not lead to cavitation erosion of the metal structures of the gate chamber in view of the short time of lowering the emergency gate.
