Abstract

The purpose of the experiential group activity is to practice implementing different levels of counseling and advocacy interventions that were listed in the 2015 American Counseling Association multicultural and social justice counseling competencies. The created activity is designed to help counseling students to understand how the advocacy competencies play an important role in the counseling setting as well as improve their advocacy skills. Students who are in different graduate counseling programs and counselors who work in different settings. The designed activity can be done in a variety of settings such as a classroom or a regular room with removable chairs. The ideal location needs to have removable chairs for grouping students or counselors. Implement different levels of counseling and advocacy interventions for their future or current clients.
