Advantages of Integrated Project Delivery and Project Management Consultancy in Managing Large Construction Projects Are Yet to Be Proven

Abstract

The nature of the competitive environment within construction industry has led to modern project management approaches as Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) that integrates people, systems, business structures and practices to optimize project results and Project Management Consultancy (PMC) with knowledge and experience in the specialized area of assisting organizations to improve their project management. Since doesn’t exist extensive research that validates the relationship between either IPD or PMC with project performance, further studies, data collection and analysis are still necessary. This study contributes to identifying several improvement areas that will enhance IPD and PMC performance to achieving project success.
