Abstract
The article presents an overview of the advantages of school based health care centers which are located across the United States. A discussion of the medical and mental health services that the centers provide to students is presented. The role that the W. K. Kellogg Foundation has played in providing assistance to school based health care centers with its School-Based Health Policy Program and National Assembly on School-Based Health Care is discussed. In the article the authors offer their opinions on school based health care centers and on their funding.
