Abstract

It is of great significance to study the formation mechanism of pavement runoff for pavement drainage optimization and traffic safety. Based on the research achievements of pavement runoff at home and abroad, this paper summarizes the existing runoff models into three types: empirical model, theoretical model and hydrodynamic model, and the theories and methods of the above models are introduced and analyzed in detail. The hydrodynamic model allows for the pavement attributes and achieves a dynamic simulation of runoff hydraulic parameters. It effectively overcomes the disadvantages of the dependence of basic data by empirical model and the complicated solution by theoretical model and provides a more accurate method for studying the mechanism of runoff generation and flow concentration on asphalt pavement.
