Abstract
Hypertension is one of the diseases of resulting in adult death and paralysis.Hypertension is associated with an increased risk of mortality and morbidity from stroke,coronary heart disease,congestive heart failure,arrhythmia,cardiomyopathy.Studies in animals indicate that gene therapy may be feasible in treating hypertension and traditional hypertensive medicine has some limitations.Gene therapy has been becoming breakthrough in the treating of hypertension.This article reviews the gene therapy in hypertension and the problems in current gene therapy,and summarises its developement perspective to the treatment of human hypertension.
