Abstract

Active microbial plant growth promoting rhizobacteria(PGPR) can produce a specific fertilizer and exert certain physiological effect on plant. PGPR plays an important role in green organic tobacco production, ecological and environmental protection, and sustainable development of high-yield, high-quality, and high-efficiency agriculture. Currently, PGPR has been widely used in domestic flue-cured tobacco production. This paper reviewed the development of application of PGPR home and abroad, selection of suitable PGPR strains for flue-cured tobacco, and application of PGPR in aspects of seedlings, disease resistance, fertility, quality and efficiency improvement for flue-cured tobacco production as well as factors that influence its application and good prospect of its application in fluecured tobacco.
