Abstract

The importance of land access for migrants as a key integrating factor has gained attention in academia and research. It is also obvious that land policy and governance frameworks are crucial for determining land access for migrants. However, little is known about the extent of policy and governance frameworks in addressing migrants’ access to land in Africa. Moreover, the existing body of research on examining the nexus between land and migration governance is limited. Finally, the review shows that land and migration are largely treated unconnectedly in Africa and has failed to address land access to migrants.
