Abstract
Human herpes simplex virus (HSV) is a serious pathogen against human health that can cause skin and sexually transmitted diseases. HSV often not only infects the genital mucous membrane, Oral mucosa, eye conjunctiva, but also can cause infection in all age periods and the whole year. Especially AIDS people are almost at the same time accompanied with the herpes virus infection that increased the AIDS treatment difficulty and Recurrence rate. In this paper, the detection methods of herpes simplex virus (HSV) , such as microscopy, cell culture test, serological detection and molecular detection method are mainly reviewed.
