Abstract

This work deals about the nano-biofertilizers. Fertilizers are the essential nutrients applied in agriculture to promote the plants growth. In order to understand about the nano-biofertilizers in a better manner, this work also explains about the other related fertilizers including nano-fertilizers, biofertilizers and conventional fertilizers. Nanotechnology is one of the promising technologies for the wide range of applications in agriculture and related fields. Utilizations of this technology are myriad. Biofertilizers, nanofertilizers, nano-biofertilizers, nano-pesticides and nutrients are some of the products based on nanotechnology. Development of the emerging technology like agri-nanotechnology helps for the creation of advanced, low cost and environment friendly nano-biofertilizers. Presently, nano-biofertilizers do not have appropriate academical and industrial recognitions. Literatures have no obvious definition and explanation about the nano-biofertilizers. An attempt has been made to explain the derivation of nano-biofertilizers. The reviewed literatures have revealed the growth status, applications, scope, trends, challenges and sustainable future of various fertilizers. Hybrid fertilizers combination i.e. nano sized inorganic nutrients blended with organic matters produces better results yielding fertilizers. Some drastic growths and major challenges persist for the nano-biofertilizers. Possibilities are present for improving the factors such as nascent technologies, developments in the production techniques and inexpensive mass production of the nano-biofertilizers. These factors will control the challenges and will make the growths of the nano-biofertilizers. In the near future, nano-biofertilizers will play major roles in modern agriculture.
