Abstract

Electrically controlled magnetization in multiferroic materials is the critical requirement and pathway for the technological potential for high speed, energy efficient memory devices. Based on the transformation of numerous scientific advances into technical novelties, there are many unsolved problems in the present era of technology. These problems need more direct research actions, which could have a real influence on transitioning scientific findings into actual device applications. This featured letter is critically focused on reviewing the advances, new opportunities, and future challenges in multifunctional nanostructures for their role in memory applications.
