Abstract
This chapter emphasis the problems related to the utilization and handling biogas slurry as a bio-fertilizer and improving biogas slurry quality. It discusses the problems related to the transportation and handling and advance technologies for utilization of biogas slurry. Biogas slurry has potential for earthworm culturing due to its easily digestible nature and nutrient contents. For vermicomposting process, the final moisture content of substrate is vary from 65 to 75 %. Biogas slurry having higher moisture content so that some agricultural material adding into the substrate for saving earthworms life. The application of biogas slurry is as carrier for fungal bio-pesticide formulations and helps to increasing biomass production. The aim of biogas slurry processing is to produce standardised bio fertilizers. Biogas slurry processing mostly useful for reduce the volume of slurry and solid-liquid separation from biogas slurry. From economic point of view, the biogas slurry processing technologies is dependent on biogas slurry transportation cost, land application cost and production cost.
