Abstract

AbstractFor the improvement and quality enhancement of the construction industry, the latest technology and innovation are much required. In the last 20 years, considerable attention has been paid to the utilization of the technology as a prevention tool for the control of the excessive rates of accidents and deaths in the residential sector. The past studies have shown that safety and management are very essential for the construction industry, and the construction industry has to face many challenges and issues while implementing these safety measures. Artificial intelligence and machine learning are the latest algorithms that help to achieve the required safety management in the construction domain. This research is designed to fill the literature gap and to implement the latest technologies in the construction companies along with all the health, safety, and environmental changes in the construction company. The purpose of this research also incorporates the challenges being faced by the construction company during the implementation of the latest technology. A survey was carried out for collection of data on the subject to achieve the research objectives. This included a total of 102 building practitioners with relevant technological expertise and competency in the survey within their organizations. The results of the research indicate that, the technological capacity can improve the conditions of safety. With the technology and innovation, the construction industry has also been updated with new measures for better management and efficiency. The results of the study provide industry practitioners and academics with priceless information concerning technological constraints and technology barriers to adoption as methods to overcome them. The adoption of technology for safety management within the construction industry is expected to strengthen while overcoming technological constraints and adoption barriers.KeywordsConstruction industryMachine learningSafetyHazard
