Abstract

Piezoelectric material is one of the most widely used intelligent materials, which can produce strain according to the change of external electric field. Shape memory alloy material is also a widely used smart material, which has a large hysteresis damping characteristic. We combine the advantages of piezoelectric materials and shape memory alloy materials, and firstly propose a new kind of shock absorber. The damping effect of the number and arrangement of shape memory alloy wires have been studied, and then the control strategy of piezoelectric ceramics on the vibration reduction effect of the structure are verified by experimental methods.
