Abstract

State-of-the-art in fuzzy logic control applications is the simple calculus of ‘fuzzy if-then rules’, predominantly using min/max operators. For the implementation mainly precompiler-based tools are used. Though this concept is sufficient for simple control applications or consumer goods, it is often insufficient for complex control applications. This work investigates which advanced methods render the application of fuzzy control in complex problems possible and how fuzzy controllers may be built more efficiently. The results of the theoretical work is demonstrated by the real model of a high-performance race car.
