Abstract
The lack of computing power has been one of the main obstacles for efficient dynamic process simulation. One way to obtain enough computing power is to use advanced computer architectures. The present paper reviews significant research reported on dynamic process simulation on advanced computer architectures. The research reviewed are classified with respect to simulation approach and computer architecture. The results are listed, compared and discussed. Finally thoughts about future research challenges are offered.
