Abstract

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a common respiratory disease in China. Pulmonary hypertension is an important complication of COPD. Right heart catheterization is gold standard of pulmonary hypertension' s diagnosis, but echocardiography applied more widely. There is currently lack of better-performing drugs to treat COPD-related pulmonary hypertension. The long-term oxygen therapy can delay progression of COPD-related pulmonary hypertension. Inhaled prostacyclin and statins are more effective. Soluble guanylate cyclase activator, inhalation of endothelin receptor antagonists and nitric oxide are promising treatment. Key words: Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease; Pulmonary hypertension; Prostacyclin; Endothelin receptor antagonist
