Abstract

This work aimed to evaluate the effects of the application of organic amendment and phosphorus fertilizer in the production of passion fruit seedlings. The experiment was carried out in the Nursey. Area at the Federal University of Lavras, State of Minas Gerais. The experiment was set up in random blocks, using a 4 x 4 factorial scheme, with four repetitions and five plants per plot. The top soil of a Distrophic Red Latosol was used as substrate and mixed with several proportions of organic amendment and phosphorus fertilizer (triple super-phosphate) The organic amendment was applied in the proportions of 0; 10; 20 e 40 kg.m -3 and the phosphorus fertilizer in proportions of 0; 2.5; 5 e 10 kg m -3 . After ninety days of planting, the following characteristics were evaluated: height of plants (cm), length of roots (cm), number of leaves per plant, dry matter of the aerial part and root (g per plant). The application of organic amendment in amounts up to 40 kg m -3 and phosphorus levels up to 5.6 kg m -3 produced the best results in the production of passion fruit seedlings.
